Conforta™ Quilts have been used as quilts for beds and wall hangings. These make wonderful gifts ~ even our personalized pillows will be a treasured keepsake. They make wonderful memory pillows, too!

Why Conforta™ Quilts?

1. You are part of the design process.  We photograph each shirt and create a variety of design layouts for your review.  We continue to revise the layouts until you are satisfied.

2. All of our quilts are backed in in a coordinating color of high quality flannel.  Have a specific fabric you’d like us to use? There is no additional charge to exchange the flannel with a specialty fabric.

3. Like many other quilting companies, we start with a standard 15” square for our quilts.  However, some t-shirts designs don’t fit in that standard size.  We will adjust the size of the square to fit the design of the shirts.

4. All of our quilts have a 4-6” border.  We think this ‘frames’ the quilt nicely; it also allows provides additional areas for either embroidery or shirts with smaller logos.

Sizes and squares needed:

King = 80 x 80 = 25 squares + 15-35 T-shirts
Queen = 66 x 80 = 20 squares + 15-25T-shirts
Twin = 52 x 80 = 15 squares + 12-20 T-shirts
Lap = 54 x 64 = 12 squares + 8-15 T-shirts
Mini = 54 x 54 = 9 squares + 3-6 T-shirts

These are approximate sizes and can vary, either because of the size and quantity of the shirts; or by request.

Generally there is no upper limit because a quilt can be two sided.

5. Often t-shirt makers place the design high on the shirt. This means that when cutting the shirt, your design might high on the square, leaving a lot of blank space below. In such cases we add other portions of the shirt to the top so that the design is always centered on the square.

6. Quilt styles: we offer you a variety...
* traditional, fringed or ‘ragged’, or a combination of both;
* Think you have too many shirts?  We will create a two sided quilt for you.
* We believe that our quilts are created in such a way that they do not need to be ‘top quilted.’ Additionally, the design on some t-shirts may not look right once top-quilted.  However, we offer you the option as well as several ‘top-quilting’ designs. 

7. For the number of shirts needed to create a quilt we give you a range rather than a specific  number of shirts.  Our aim is to use all of the shirts you give us by:
* Combining more than one shirt on a square, either because the design on the shirt is small (for example, logos above shirt pockets);
* Fitting both the front and back of the shirt in once square, or
* Using the borders

8. One of our specialties is our embroidery creations. We can create squares that depict countries and flags, special events; poems and prayers, varsity letters, and much, much more. Is there a special memory that you don’t have a shirt for?  Let us create the entire square for you.

9. Another unique quality with Conforta™ Quilts is that we can incorporate  almost anything into your quilt. ...from ties, socks, sweats, varsity letters, baseball hats, to swim suits, towels, etc...the list is limitless.
