Styles for Different Personalities

Style #1
Fringed or ‘Ragged’ Look
The Fringe or ‘ragged’ look is our most popular style of quilt; especially for the young adult—and young at heart. Each square has a coordinating square on the back. Squares are sewn with the seem outward (to the front) and then fringed. No batting is used in this style quilt. The fabric for the back is a very soft flannel, which provides warmth and coziness, without the bulk and weight of batting.

Style #2
Seam turn in; Batting inside
In this style quilt, the top is created separately from the back and a layer of batting is placed between the two layers.

This style works very well for photo quilts.

Style #3
Seam turn in; Each square framed; Overall Quilted
Placing a border around each shirt (framing) is a great idea when most of the shirts are the same color.

This quilt was assembled as described in Style #2. Then the entire quilt was topstitched to give it an overall quilted look.
