Quilt Styles

We pride ourselves on making your quilt a unique, personal memory, so taking the time to brainstorm with you is important to us. Whether we meet you in person, or you mail your shirts, here are some things that will help us get started.

Design Decisions

Identify which shirts are most important (we want to make sure they’re placed in a prominent place on the quilt);
Color theme (school colors; room colors). We will use these colors on the back, border, and any squares that need to be filled in if there aren't enough -t-shirts to fill all of the squares. We might also suggest colors once we see the shirts.
Is there embroidery you’d like on the quilt? Our prices include either one square of embroidery, or two lines (generally on a border). You can have as much embroidery work as you like, but there may be additional charges, depending on the quantity and/or complexity of the embroidery work. Some suggestions:
- name, class of…,
- Greek letters;
- sports graphics (basketball, football, soccer, swimmer, etc);
- flowers, hearts, symbols (occupational, scouting, etc.)
Are we including photos on the quilt?
Anything else you’d like in the quilts (ties, socks, sweats, varsity letters, etc.)

The design possibilities are unlimited. Part of our enjoyment comes from all of the new, sometimes wacky, ideas clients present us with so we encourage you to be as creative as you like. Our collective imaginations can create a quilt you will treasure forever. We look forward to working with you.

Please make sure all of your t-shirts have been washed
before you give them to us.

Too many shirts for one side? We can make it two-sided.

Sizes and squares needed:

Relative Quilt sizes
King = 80 x 80 = 25 squares + 15-35 T-shirts
Queen = 66 x 80 = 20 squares + 15-25T-shirts
Twin = 52 x 80 = 15 squares + 12-20 T-shirts
Lap = 54 x 64 = 12 squares + 8-15 T-shirts
Mini = 54 x 54 = 9 squares + 3-6 T-shirts

These are approximate sizes and can vary, either because of the size and quantity of the shirts; or by request.

Generally there is no upper limit because a quilt can be two sided.

Conforta Embroidery Makes Each Creation Special
Conforta Quilts has a wide variety of EMBROIDERY graphics available for your custom quilt. We can design a very personalized quilt or pillow based on your suggestions.

Possible ideas: Team mascot, logo, animals, lettering, mottos, hearts, flowers - anything you might think holds a memory and can be sewn into a quilt!
